Mold Testing & Carbon Monoxide Testing

Mold is one of the toughest areas to detect as a homeowner. Even trace amounts of mold in your home can be a health hazard.

At Donofrio & Associates, LLC. we offer an Air Quality Mold Screening and comprehensive evaluation provided by an independent lab. Through our mold testing we can identify the presence of mold, dander, and allergens present in your home.

Our Mold Detection Process

We follow National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) standards for detecting the presence of mold. We look for signs such as water stains and musty smells to determine possible mold locations. We test air quality for the presence of mold spores as well as collect physical samples of visible signs of mold. We will not try to sell you any products or services for mold remediation and do not offer remediation services as it’s a conflict of interest.

Our inspections for mold protect you and your family from potential health problems. If left untreated, mold can cause respiratory problems and fatigue. In some people, it can cause asthma attacks, rashes, and even seizures. For more information on the health hazards of mold, please visit the Environmental Protection Agency’s website at www.epa.gov.

Carbon Monoxide Testing

Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a dangerous gas and detection is crucial due to its colorless, odorless presence. It can have serious and potentially deadly health effects if undetected. We provide this inspection with our Air Quality Mold Screening to determine if carbon monoxide levels are high and need further evaluation by a specialist.  Our test is non-intrusive targeting ambient temperature in the home and around appliances as well as testing carbon monoxide alarms for functionality, if present. We follow EPA guidelines for acceptable levels. Higher levels are recommended for further evaluation.
